At Navjeevan Education Society's D.P. Kharde NAVJEEVAN COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, learning goes far beyond textbooks. Through industrial and hospital visits, field training, our medicinal garden, placement guidance and higher-study support, students graduate ready for the profession.
Practical learning runs through the whole Diploma in Pharmacy programme, not just the final year. Every student follows a clear, supported path from first-year foundation learning to a rewarding career or further study. The steps below show how visits, hospital training, the medicinal garden, skill workshops and interview preparation build on one another, so progress feels structured rather than left to chance.
At Navjeevan Education Society's D.P. Kharde NAVJEEVAN COLLEGE OF PHARMACY, practical experience turns classroom theory into working skill. Industrial visits, hospital visits, field visits and our on-campus medicinal garden give Diploma in Pharmacy students direct contact with real pharmaceutical settings. Students observe manufacturing, quality control, clinical dispensing and plant cultivation first hand, then reflect on what they have seen. This structured exposure builds confidence, professional judgement and the workplace readiness that employers and higher-study programmes expect.
An Industrial Visit is an essential experiential learning activity organized by colleges to bridge the gap between theoretical classroom concepts and real-world industrial operations. Usually arranged for engineering, pharmacy, business, and science students, these visits take education beyond textbooks by placing students directly on the factory or corporate floor.
By translating abstract diagrams into physical realities, industrial visits clarify career options for students, refine their practical understanding, and give them a realistic view of current market expectations and engineering standards.
A Field Visit is a highly practical experiential learning activity organized by colleges to take students out of the traditional classroom and place them directly into natural, social, or occupational environments. Unlike industrial visits that focus strictly on factories and manufacturing plants, field visits cover a broader spectrum, sending students to sites like agricultural fields, ecological reserves, hospitals, rural communities, or archaeological locations to study subjects in their live, unaltered contexts.
By turning the physical world into an active laboratory, field visits help students connect abstract textbook descriptions to tangible realities, developing crucial data-gathering and analytical skills essential for research and future professional roles.
A Hospital Visit is a crucial clinical exposure activity organized by colleges for students pursuing healthcare degrees, such as Pharmacy (B. Pharm/D. Pharm), Nursing, and allied health sciences. These visits transition students from theoretical medical concepts to the fast-paced reality of active patient care and healthcare administration.
By stepping out of the classroom and onto the hospital floor, students develop essential professional ethics, witness the immediate impact of accurate medicine management, and gain firsthand familiarity with the strict safety and hygiene standards required in professional healthcare systems.
A Medicinal Garden Visit is a highly specialized field trip primarily organized for students of Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Botany, and Alternative Medicine (BHMS/BUMS). This educational visit takes learning outdoors, allowing students to study live therapeutic plants rather than looking at dried specimens or text descriptions in a lab.
By connecting botany to medicine, a medicinal garden visit provides students with a foundational understanding of where modern and traditional drugs originate, sharpening their identification skills and deepening their appreciation for natural drug discovery.
Our students learn through industry exposure, healthcare institutions, practical laboratories and professional mentorship throughout the programme. Manufacturing units, hospitals, the campus medicinal garden and guest sessions with working professionals come together so that classroom learning is reinforced by real settings, and every student builds both technical knowledge and workplace confidence.
